Qualifications

Dr. Yanti Heriyawati, S.Pd., M.Hum. has over 25 years of experience in academic research, art education, cultural community empowerment, and maritime arts development. She has led and participated in 27 interdisciplinary research projects funded by national institutions such as the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology (Kemendikbudristek), BRIN, and LPDP, focusing on maritime cultural festivals, traditional performing arts preservation, and socio-economic empowerment of coastal communities. Her work spans collaborations with institutions in Indonesia, Malaysia, and Singapore.

As a Senior Lecturer (Lektor Kepala/IVb) and former Director of the Postgraduate Program at ISBI Bandung (2019–2023), she has taught advanced courses including Art Methodology and CreationIndonesian Performing ArtsDigital Media and Culture, and Cultural Industry. She has supervised 103 graduates (32 S1, 71 S2) and contributed to policy formulation for Indonesia’s cultural advancement, including the NSPK Tenaga Bidang Kesenian (2020–2021).

Her expertise extends to creative productions, with 30 Intellectual Property Rights (HKI) registrations for maritime-themed documentaries, choreographies, and cultural festival designs (e.g., Floating Heritage Festival). She has received national accolades, including the Satya Lencana award from the President of Indonesia (2019) and Inspirational Lecturer recognition from ISBI Bandung.

Active in international forums, she has presented papers at conferences such as the International Dance Conference and Festival (ISI Yogyakarta, 2019) and served as a keynote speaker for maritime cultural discourse at institutions like the National Development Planning Agency (Bappenas).
